Playing Catch Up

One of the Family Rules is if you hit you lose the privilege of playing with the toys - for the entire day.

Here S4 was set loose with the digital camera so he has something constructive/creative to do instead of watching his victim brother play. Clever boy, he even skilfully got the nappies in without making a feature of them :)
(This was at the Granddies' backyard by the way. No, they don't do the laundry for me, I just took the clean laundry round to hang on their clothesline that day.)

Both boys have never really been much of the sandpit kind. So, on Election day, it was quite novel for me when I realised that they had been playing happily in it for the good part of the hour while I sat in front of the laptop to swat up on the candidates for my electorate (oops! Next election, I will try to be more organised about getting to know the candidates).

I love watching the boys and their beloved friend interact. Here, at lunch time today, they amused themselves with a game they invented involving a roll of sellotape. The sound of their giggles is one of the sweetest things in life.

We're gonna miss you next Monday, B5. Have fun at school.
