Got to the end of the day and realised I haven't taken any pics of the family :(
Got some shots of some of the food though, taken as I prepared it earlier in the morning when it was going at an easier pace.
Easy peasy "plum puddings", mallowpuff and jelly babies style.
The Pavlova! The egg whites of which took me 40 minutes to beat up because I have a shocking electric beater. And just to prove the point, I borrowed neighbour's one to make another Pav, and that only took 15 minutes to beat up. But Hubby dear isn't convinced we "need" a new electric beater for just the one thing that we hardly make. Must make some more yummy munchies that require the use of an electric beater!

One word to save your Pavlova woes. KitchenAid! I LOVE my KitchenAid mixer - makes THE best pavs. Actually I do all my bread, pastry and baking with it too;-)
